11th january 2015, more than one million people gather in Paris to pay tribute to the victims of extremism. In a country used to demonstrate against many things, people suddenly became one to claim their love for Liberty and to remind that, more than 200 years ago, France founded it’s society on several principles among which :

The free communication of ideas and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man
For I was shocked by these tragic events, I had of course to take part to this.
But I also felt the deep-rooted need to witness this with my camera, as if photos could help us to stay the course in our attempt to build something positive from this moment, starting with reminding another founding principle :
Men are born and remain free and equal in rights.
